The Surrey Centre for Cyber Security (SCCS) is looking for a postdoc with expertise in electronic-voting or related topics. The aim of the project is to design and analyse dispute-resolution mechanisms for electronic voting. Closing Date: 13 May 2024.

We encourage candidates with experience in design or analysis of e-voting systems or protocols, or formal verification of protocols, or provable security, or similar areas. Candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other closely related area, or be on course of getting one very soon at the time of application.
The position is for up to 2.5 years working with Dr. Cătălin Drăgan and depending on the candidate’s interest – in formal methods with Prof. Ioana Boureanu and Dr. Sasa Randomirovic, or – in cryptography with Prof. Liqun Chen. (see https://www.surrey.ac.uk/surrey-centre-cyber-security )
The position will be based in the Department of Computer Science and its highly regarded Surrey Centre for Cyber Security (SCCS). SCCS is a NCSC-recognised centre of excellence for cyber security research and teaching. There are approximately 21 permanent academics and 15 postdocs, with expertise on voting, formal modelling and verification, applied cryptography, trust systems, social media, communication and networks, and blockchain and distributed ledger technologies in sectors such as government, finance, communications, transport and cross-sector technologies.
